About the founder
Stephen R. Jordan is the founder of SRJ Consulting & Services LLC, an operator-led AI advisory practice based in Frisco, Texas. His work helps executives establish governance, oversight, and operational discipline around artificial intelligence as a managed business function, not an experimental tool.
Jordan’s professional background spans accounting, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, operational systems management, and risk governance. Over the course of a career that includes leadership, consulting, and advisory roles across multiple industries, he has worked extensively in operational oversight, business systems management, enterprise security, incident response, governance frameworks, and technology implementation. His experience includes work involving operational risk management, infrastructure security, compliance oversight, and business process improvement inside complex enterprise environments.
Prior to founding SRJ Consulting & Services LLC in 2023, Jordan held senior consulting, operational, and security roles at organizations including Citi, Optiv, Intel, and McAfee. His engagements span enterprise technology, cybersecurity operations, governance processes, and systems management, with recurring focus on operational risk, infrastructure security, compliance oversight, and the management infrastructure required to keep complex enterprise environments running as designed.
Jordan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Arts in Political Science with a minor in business statistics from West Texas A&M University and later completed post graduate studies from East Texas A&M University in supervision instruction and curriculum for higher education, computer science, photography, and educational media and technology. His multidisciplinary background contributed to the operational and governance-focused perspective reflected throughout The AI Operating System™ framework.
Through his work with business owners and organizational leadership teams, Jordan recognized that many companies were adopting artificial intelligence faster than they were developing the operational systems required to govern it effectively. That observation became the foundation for The AI Operating System™ and the operational frameworks introduced throughout his books.
Stephen is the author of The Operating Discipline for AI Library™, a nine-volume canon on running AI as a permanent business function.
Today, Jordan works with organizations seeking to improve visibility, governance, operational discipline, cost control, measurable performance, and security defensibility across artificial intelligence initiatives and business technology environments. His work focuses on helping businesses manage AI intentionally through structured operational systems rather than fragmented adoption and uncontrolled experimentation.
